My Distressed Denims

2
My blog has been a little neglected at the moment as life has been crazy. I started working at COSMO Magazine three weeks ago which probably has a thing or two to do with it! I’m loving the craziness however, and now that I am more settled I vow to post more often.

I finally got the chance to put my Legit Denim Kit to use and customised my jeans. While I usually I try to stay far away from scissors, needles and anything customising related – they actually turned out pretty great! I went for a simple jean roll up and then distressed my denims using the fabric file we go in our kits as well as the scissors. I surprisingly loved the result! I styled my jeans with a tailored blazer to add a little refinement in mix, and experimented with a jewelled ear cuff.

Well hello there, you are looking…unexpectedly different today, Cape Town. This morning I got dressed and ready for the beach- bikini, shorts, sandals the lot… Little did I know that Cape Town has other plans. It was meant to be 30 degrees today yet it’s cloudy with a slight chill Clifton side. Boo!

These outfit pics are from the other day taken with my IPhone 5. How do you like my pants? When I saw them I knew I either hated or loved them. Going past them for the second time round, I decided the latter. I think they are pretty damn cool! I decided to pair them with a tailored mid length blazer, a chic navy silk vest with zip detail and black points. This way I could still look polished yet laid back. I accessorised with my amazing blue reflective aviators, a black quilted chain bag and a beautiful purple Murano glass ring I got as a gift from Italy. It’s psychedelic yet so pretty at the same time. And of course, silver cross earrings (someone asked me if I always do this to keep the vampires away).
I’m wearing:
Black blazer- Zara
Silk navy vest- Tally Weijl
Crazy legging pants- Mr Price
Black point heels- ZOOM Footwear
Black quilted handbag- Pull & Bear
Aviators- Gift
Glass ring- Murano Italy
Cross earrings- Boutique in Italy
Lip shade- MAC
My new lip shade obsession: Media by MAC. It’s actually even darker in reality and very ‘Italian goth princess drinks too much red wine’. My boyfriend hates it! Haha.
Have a great Thursday… One more day till the weekend!

La Maison Bleue

This is what I looked like yesterday! It was a bit of a sad (and coincidentally blue) day because I didn’t get into the next round of the Elle 2013 Style Reporter competition, however I shall keep my chin up and move on to the next challenge! I wore skinny black ripped jeans, a white holey knit and black points with blood red lips. I feel like this outfit exuded a hint of Gothic fused with a dash of sophistication.
I’m wearing:
Ripped black skinnies- Pull & Bear
White knit- Market in Florence
Black points- Zoom
Nude blazer-Bangkok
Studded black handbag- Woolworths
Gold necklaces- Woolworths and vintage

By the way have you been following the shows at Paris Fashion Week? Some of my favourites were Valentino, McQueen and Valentin Yudashkin’s collection!

Art Jamming

These photos of our little stay at Asara Wine Farm and Hotel. It’s so beautiful, our room looked onto a huge lake and onto the extensive vineyards. The breakfast was SO yummy, we all had three or four courses (talk about a big breakfast! Haha). I started with some fruit and a mini berry smoothie, followed with a croissant, smoked salmon, olives and Belgium waffles! Then we spent the day in Stellenbosch, looking at art galleries and small boutiques and then met up with family friends for lunch. A great day spent with the family!

My outfit was a little retro. In the past few years I have been a dark blue jeans girl but I decided that I’m loving the light ones at the moment! These jeans and the print tee were purchased at Cotton On recently. The red bag with the silver studs was bought ages ago at Pull and Bear. It doesn’t go with everything which is why I haven’t worn it much but I decided this was the perfect opportunity. And of course complete with my Promod sneaker wedges and H&M leather and velt jacket!
