My Distressed Denims

2
My blog has been a little neglected at the moment as life has been crazy. I started working at COSMO Magazine three weeks ago which probably has a thing or two to do with it! I’m loving the craziness however, and now that I am more settled I vow to post more often.

I finally got the chance to put my Legit Denim Kit to use and customised my jeans. While I usually I try to stay far away from scissors, needles and anything customising related – they actually turned out pretty great! I went for a simple jean roll up and then distressed my denims using the fabric file we go in our kits as well as the scissors. I surprisingly loved the result! I styled my jeans with a tailored blazer to add a little refinement in mix, and experimented with a jewelled ear cuff.

Summer Catchup

So it’s been a crazy past few weeks but I haven’t stopped blogging… I’ve just had a little break from it as I’ve had a lot going on. Firstly, I have started a fashion internship at ELLE Magazine which I am so happy about as it’s been a goal for a while now (not to mention my favourite magazine). I also received an amazing SLR camera which I am dying to use on some new blog posts so keep on reading. AND, it’s Christmas season, my favourite time of the year!

There is bad news too unfortunately…  My little puppy Princess Jasmine died a few days ago which I have been heart broken about as she was the most lovable creature I have ever met… May you rest in peace my little pumpkin. She was truly a special little fluffy dog.

Here are a few photos from in the midst of a Cape Town summer…

I’m wearing:
Little denim shirt dress- Legit
Sandals- Forever 21
Tan handbag- Caprisa
Sunglasses- Mr Price
We all know that our dear Madiba passed away just over a week ago. He was a extremely powerful man who moved the nation and who was willing to die for his cause… One who I have a great amount of respect for. Mandela had uttered many words of wisdom in his lifetime. My favourite is: “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

Photo mix from the past week! I am loving my nudes at the moment and have two lovely different nude boot styles and handbags- fringe and chain. The last photo is three of my most loved beauty products at the moment.

Charcoal peplum top- Edgars
Black skinnies- Sissy Boy
Boots- Young Designers
Fringe bag- Legit
My 8 year old brother thinks my boyfriend is God and after seeing his outfit emerged out of his room wearing the same. Haha 🙂
Leather jacket- H&M
Clutch- Bangkok
Heels- Bershka
MAC Love Lorn kiss
Breakfast!

Nudes nudes

The new Dolce & Gabanna Portofino edition of Light Blue (my favourite scent), Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment and Woolworths Skin Primer with SPF 15. All three products are very recommended!
The Woolwoths primer comes out colourless on your face, despite its peachy colour in the tube, and magically fills in all your pores making your face feels like a babies bottom! Apply it before your foundation- it will improve coverage and lengthen the time your foundation lasts on your face.

If you want to get something similar to the Moroccan Oil that isn’t as expensive then I highly recommended VO5’s Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil- it is also an intensive leave-in treatment and works wonders!

NOTE:  With both oil products, never put too much in your hair and never close to your roots as it will leave your hair looking greasy.

Have a cosy night!
