Green Tuesdays with love

0
Here’s what I wore to work today! I started off the day having breakfast at The Grand Cafe in Camps Bay for a beauty launch I went to, representing Sarah Hoberman, the beauty editor of Elle Magazine of course. It was for the Autumn Winter launch for LCN Cosmetics, a German make up, nail and skin care label. You can purchase their products at select beauty salons and on their newly launched Facebook shop.
We were treated to a lovely breakfast, of course I went for the egg and bacon option (I always have time for bacon) followed by a presentation on all their new products. We also got to smell, see and touch the products which is a must for beauty editors/ bloggers who have to review products.
Back at work I had a few things to do and this evening my best friend came over and we had a chilled girlie evening which is always a great way to unwind! This meant that wine, phad thai and gossip were on the cards.

I’m wearing:
Acid green knit- Zara
Leather pants- Bershka
Black points- ZOOM Footwear
White t-shirt- Mr Price
Bag- Caprisa
Sunglasses- Dior
Chain necklace- Forever 21 (coming to SA soon yay!)
“Whatever” beanie- Mr Price (in stores soon)

With my very cute Henry Holland cellphone cover (great to look at  but did not prevent my phone screen from completely smashing all over the other day, sigh).

Have a lovely evening and sweet dreams.

Summer Catchup

So it’s been a crazy past few weeks but I haven’t stopped blogging… I’ve just had a little break from it as I’ve had a lot going on. Firstly, I have started a fashion internship at ELLE Magazine which I am so happy about as it’s been a goal for a while now (not to mention my favourite magazine). I also received an amazing SLR camera which I am dying to use on some new blog posts so keep on reading. AND, it’s Christmas season, my favourite time of the year!

There is bad news too unfortunately…  My little puppy Princess Jasmine died a few days ago which I have been heart broken about as she was the most lovable creature I have ever met… May you rest in peace my little pumpkin. She was truly a special little fluffy dog.

Here are a few photos from in the midst of a Cape Town summer…

I’m wearing:
Little denim shirt dress- Legit
Sandals- Forever 21
Tan handbag- Caprisa
Sunglasses- Mr Price
We all know that our dear Madiba passed away just over a week ago. He was a extremely powerful man who moved the nation and who was willing to die for his cause… One who I have a great amount of respect for. Mandela had uttered many words of wisdom in his lifetime. My favourite is: “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

ZOOM Footwear Challenge Day #4: Sundowner Chic

4
This was my outfit for the fourth day of the ZOOM Footwear Challenge! That day I decided to go to the annual Kamers design fare, “a creative feast of handmade products” which was held at the gorgeous Webersburg estate in Stellenbosch. I wore Converse All Stars as it was very grassy there and a casual event. That evening, however, I put on my chic ZOOM ankle strap nude heels with the same outfit and voila- they functioned as the perfect day to night outfit transition tactic! Hehe. What do you think about this outfit?
I’m wearing:
White lace body suit- Forever 21
Denim shorts- Jay Jays
Brown shopper- Carpisa
Heels- ZOOM Footwear
Sunglasses- A gift
Rings- Topshop and Pink Pussy (Bangkok)

With my bestie and sister.
One of my best (and most talented) friends Natasha Collins exhibited her amazing jewellery line at Kamers. Definitely check out her website, click here. I  am OBSESSED with my new ‘stacking’ Natasha G ring… Guess which one I got?
The bunny rabbit of course! Hehe. Next on my list is the butterfly, little duck and heart.
Natasha G herself.
Kamers at the Webersburg estate in Stellenbosch. So beautiful!
This is how my look transitioned from a day market to evening cocktails with my ZOOM Footwear heels:
Let me know your thoughts!

Last Day in Milano!

0
On our last day in Milan we devoured a a huge breakfast, packed and then took the metro to see The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci! However, once we got there we realised that you had to make a booking in advance to view this famous painting. The painitng is in a building next to the Santa Maria delle Grazie
church and so we looked around that instead which was of course exquisite, like most sacred buildings in Italy! We then caught our train to Florence at 12.

I wore a black cotton high waisted skirt (H&M), a army green crop top (Cotton On), black espadrilles (Asos), my black and gold chain bag (Aldo) and a thick matte gold chain necklace (Forever 21).

Milano Day #1

0
These are photos of our first day in Milan! We caught the high speed train from Rome and arrived in Milan that afternoon. Our hotel was pretty fancy, modern and very central (next to the Duomo and the main shopping street) which was great! On our way to see the Duomo we stumbled across an art museum that happened to be showcasing the famous work of pop art hero Andy Warhol. Of course, I had to go in. I’ve loved Andy’s work since I first saw the famous Campbell Soup tins and Marilyn Monroe pieces years ago. Let’s just say I was extremely chuffed walking around that museum. We even came across some of Pablo Picasso’s work and an interesting photography showcase.

We also went to see the gothic looking Duomo cathedral which is the most enchanting building I have ever laid eyes on. You can see for yourself in the photos below… It’s intricacy is mind-blowing. And naturally- I shopped till I dropped afterwards!

White lace bodice- Forever 21
Flowy black skirt- Bangkok market
Straw chain bag- Vintage
White espadrilles- Aldo
