If you asked me what my favourite colour was, I’d be tempted to say grey. Yes, I know black, white and grey fall under the inconspicuous “non-colour” class, but, in fashion, they’re the world’s sell-out shades.
Here’s a monochrome outfit I wore the other day. The key to one-colour dressing is to layer a variety of different fabrics so it’s less drab and more three dimensional and chic.
If you’re looking to splurge on a coat (because let’s be real, these days a good quality coat costs the same as a full month’s groceries) I would suggest you ditch the usual black and opt for one in a medium to dark shade of grey. Like black, it’s versatile and will make friends with everything in your closet and suits almost any skin tone – and it’s super fresh.
